Buddy Kupfer Jr., a.k.a. Little Buddy, was the son of Buddy and Betty Kupfer. They lived in San Diego, California. Little Buddy's father owned a store and he managed to sell more Silver Shamrock Masks than anyone else in the country, so he was invited by Conal Cochran to tour his factory.
On October 29, 1982, Little Buddy and his family traveled to Santa Mira, California and stopped to stay at the Rose of Shannon motel. As soon as the family arrived, Buddy almost hit Daniel Challis with Little Buddy's bicycle. The boy was concerned about his bike and soon rode off despite his mother's warnings.
The next day, Little Buddy and his family went to the Silver Shamrock Factory where they ran into Daniel and Ellie Grimbridge, and Buddy invited them to join along on the tour. Little Buddy wanted a mask for himself and Conal Cochran gave him a pumpkin mask that was done with "final processing."
On Halloween, the family was asked for their opinion on television commercials. They were led into a room and Little Buddy wanted to leave as he needed to use the restroom. Moments later, the television went on and the Silver Shamrock commercial came on. The commercial asked for all the kids to place the masks on which Little Buddy did. Little Buddy started to grab his head and soon fell to the floor. He began shaking and seconds later he was dead as bugs and snakes were coming out his head. Several of the venomous snakes then proceeded to bite and kill his parents.
- Buddy Jr. became the first person under 13 to be killed in the Halloween franchise. All victims before him were adults and teenagers over 14 years old.
