Compass International Pictures, later known as Trancas International Films, is a film production and distribution company founded by Irwin Yablans and Joseph Wolf in 1977. Their first film was the original Halloween (1978) and, after closing down and reappearing as Trancas, they have either produced or co-produced every installment in the Halloween series, beginning with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988).
