Matt Hudson is a character that only appears in the 1997 young adult novel The Scream Factory.
Biography[]
Matt Hudson is a young man who attended Haddonfield High School in 1997 as a senior. He is described as "the biggest hunk at Haddonfield High" and dated Sally Wilson after tiring of his ex, Marsha Miller and her snobby attitude.
Matt picked up Lori Parker and Sally at City Hall after they started their school project and ended up giving Jake Kovac a ride home, with a brief stop by the Myers house on the way.
Over the next few days, Matt began to form a friendship with Jake. While at Jake's house, Matt and Sally almost had sex, but the security alarm ruined the moment and the kids had to leave the property. Later, his car was vandalized. He got into an argument with Sally and then went driving and ended up at the Myers house where Sheriff Grandy was investigating. He wanted to file a vandalism report on his car, so he went inside and found the dead body of Grandy before being attacked by Michael Myers. He was able to break free and ran into the woods to escape. He was then injured and Michael attempted to bury him alive in a ditch before being distracted from the sounds of the Halloween party at City Hall and left Matt alive to go kill at the party instead.
Matt later woke up after being unconscious and rushed to the party to help Sally. He had another scuffle with Michael before he and Sally escaped the burning city hall. Matt helped most of them escape the fire before seemingly killing Michael with a guillotine prop, but Michael escaped the fire.
