- "You're like a PB&J every day kinda guy."
- ―Officer Richards to Officer Francis.[src]
Officer Richards is a character in Halloween (2018), played by Charlie Benton.
Biography[]
Officer Richards was a police officer in the Warren County sheriff's office in Haddonfield, Illinois. He enjoyed eating banh mi sandwiches and liked to tease his partner, Officer Francis, about his choice of snacks, particularly Francis' chocolaty homemade brownies. Richards even had the local deli whip up a custom peanut butter and jelly banh mi sandwich just for Francis, but Francis seemed to find the sandwich unappetizing and refused to eat it.[1]
Officer Richards was killed by Michael Myers when he and Francis were guarding the house of Laurie Strode on October 31, 2018. Michael attacked Richards and Francis, killing them both, ultimately doing in Richards by slashing his throat and stabbing him in the temple with a pen knife.[1] His and Officer Francis' corpses are later discovered by Sheriff Barker and the rest of the police force along with 10 firefighters that were murdered.[2]
Notes and trivia[]
- A banh mi sandwich is essentially the Vietnamese version of a French baguette. The term actually refers to just the bread and not so much to its contents.
