Storyline[]
- Michael Myers is 6 years old when he first commits murder in the original, while in the remake, he is 10.
- The remake reveals much more information about Michael's past and childhood.
- Judith Myers is not the first person to be killed by Michael. She is instead the fourth.
- Judith's boyfriend Danny is not attacked in the original, but his counterpart Steve becomes one of Michael's victims.
- The time periods differ by about 30 years.
- While Edith dies in a car accident, Deborah instead commits suicide by shooting herself in the head.
- Annie Brackett dies in the original yet in the remake, she survives.
- Lynda Van der Klok is the third of Laurie's friends to die and she dies in the Wallace house in the original. In the remake timeline, Lynda is the second and does so in the Myers house.
- Morgan and Pamela do not suffer at Michael's hands, unlike their remake counterparts, Mason and Cynthia.
- Paul Freedman is only heard on the telephone in the original, but he makes an appearance in the remake, and is also killed.
- Nurse Marion Chambers is not featured in the remake.
- Dr. Terence Wynn is not featured either, but a female nurse sharing his last name makes an appearance.
